The BEATS…
I missed the BEATS
in their prime
finding them and
their writing late
in my life
reading frantically …
Kerouac …
Bukowski …
Carver …
Ginsberg …
and on the fringe
Cohen …
Their words flow
smoothly …
through my eyes
easily off my tongue
seared into my brain
allowing me to
write my own way
with freedom

I fear Annie that I will never be able to sift through my words to write simply … I fall in love with them too much! Hahaha … you did a great job, but you have studied the masters and surpassed them! XXXOOO

Wish my first mentor could see my writing now … have lost touch with her & her husband that showed me the right path & encouraged me so much …
